Rene Noorbergen Secrets of the Lost Races PDF 31

Rene Noorbergen was a journalist and author who wrote several books on ancient history, archaeology, and biblical prophecy. One of his most popular works was Secrets of the Lost Races, first published in 1977, which explored the evidence for advanced technology and civilization in ancient times. The book was based on the research of Joey R. Jochmans, who collected hundreds of examples of out-of-place artifacts (ooparts) that challenged the conventional chronology and understanding of human history.

In Secrets of the Lost Races, Noorbergen argued that a superior race of humans existed before the great flood described in Genesis, and that they were responsible for the scientific marvels that were found among the ruins of ancient cultures. He drew on the literature and art of the Chaldeans, Sumerians, Babylonians, Egyptians, and others to support his claim. He also suggested that these pre-flood humans had contact with extraterrestrial beings who taught them advanced knowledge and skills.

Some of the ooparts that Noorbergen discussed in his book included:

  • The Antikythera mechanism, a complex mechanical device that could calculate astronomical phenomena, dating back to the 2nd century BC.

  • The Baghdad battery, a clay jar containing a copper cylinder and an iron rod that could produce electric current, dating back to the 3rd century AD.

  • The Dendera light, a relief carving in an Egyptian temple that resembled a modern electric lamp, dating back to the 1st century BC.

  • The Piri Reis map, a Turkish map that showed accurate details of the coastlines of Antarctica and South America, dating back to the 16th century AD.

  • The Nazca lines, a series of giant geoglyphs in Peru that could only be seen from the air, dating back to the 1st millennium AD.

Noorbergen's book was controversial and criticized by many mainstream scholars and scientists, who dismissed his evidence as either misinterpreted, fabricated, or irrelevant. However, his book also attracted a lot of interest and curiosity from readers who were fascinated by the mysteries of the past and the possibility of a lost civilization. The book was translated into several languages and sold millions of copies worldwide.

In 1982, Noorbergen published a sequel to his book, titled Treasures of the Lost Races, which expanded on his previous arguments and presented more examples of ooparts. He also explored the connections between ancient prophecies and modern events, such as the rise of Israel, the nuclear threat, and the end times. He died in 1995 at the age of 68.
